Destiny Espinoza, APCC is a first-generation professional, whose philosophy is deeply rooted in celebrating diversity and fostering cultural humility through each individual’s strengths, a perspective cultivated through her M.S. in School and Professional Counseling, Dual Concentration, at California State University, San Bernardino. She completed her B.A. in Education Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Through her Master’s training, she developed her skills in Narrative Therapy, which has solidified her person-centered approach, emphasizing active listening, empathy, and recognizing each individual's unique story. Throughout her 5 years of experience in the field, she has consistently championed inclusive environments that empower the individuals she works with, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, to achieve their full potential. As she develops her specializations, she does have extensive experience in K-12 schools, community mental health, and unaccompanied minors, which has guided her path towards working with children, families, and individuals looking for help to navigate trauma and substance misuse. She is committed to lifelong learning and subject matter expertise, not only to deliver quality services, but also to inspire individuals and advocate for equitable systemic change, ensuring all her clients feel valued and represented.
